Saylor's Safehouse was designed by me. Here is the reason for the "Safehouse". There are lots of thunderstorms here in Cape Elizabeth Maine, this summer. Saylor is "Terrified" of the thunder and lightening.
This surprised me. She is such a dare devil and pretty fearless with everything else. I feel really sorry for her. She just can't seem to shake it off. So, when a thunder storm starts or when it starts to rain saylor starts to get worried, she doesn't even want Sawyer to go outside (which he loves to play in the rain). She starts with telling me she is tired(everytime) and then she runs into my bedroom and hides under the covers until the thunder stops (which can be up to an hour) So, I decided to use this cardboard box to make her a very nice safe place to hide. I went to Joann fabrics and got some fabric off the 40% off rack and some glue sticks and I went to work for about an hour. Now when the thunder comes she can take her dolls and hide in the safehouse. She loves it.
